In The News

I was listening to the Gayle King Show this morning on the way to work. I hadn't yet heard about this story.
On the show they were talking about Cyber bullying and how it's getting really out of hand and there needs to be a lot more serious consequences. I would have to agree. Some people calling in said they think the students involved should be kicked out of school. I agree. Another woman called in and said if it was her son involved, doing this to another student she would have her own son arrested. As a parent, all of this scares me. My daughter is only in the 5th grade. Of course she knows how to use the computer, but she is not allowed to unless she is supervised. I'm also a parent that doesn't allow her to have a cell phone yet either, but that's another story. My heart goes out to the family of Tyler Clemente. I can't even begin to imagine how they are feeling right now.

I just saw this on the View. I'm so saddened that this young man took his life over this! I'm angry at the roomate and the other participant for violating his privacy like that!

What's more sad is they thought this would be a simple joke. :(

People these days are doing things and have no idea that the consequences of their actions can be dertrimental.

We need sensitivity training and ethics and morals retraining for the children.

@ Gorgeous- It's terrible! And it is only going to get worse if we don't start taking it more serious and giving very harsh consequences for things like this. Did you hear that the guy who posted the video's friends were trying to stick up for him & say that he didn't have anything against gays and that he would've done it if it was a guy & a girl too. Uuuugh......hmmmm is that supposed to make it better??? It would be wrong to do that regardless! I am really curious to see what the punishment for this ends up being! And you are so right!! We definitely need sensitivity training & for parents to reinforce morals at home! It is just SO SAD!
