I'm at work today and was told that a teacher at my daughter's school lost the home that her & her family designed and built to the terrible Fourmile Fire happening here in CO. She has been updating on her facebook about the loss and how she was able to grab some of her photo albums. She also said she told her students that they may see a lot of the dress she is wearing, because she has no clothes now. She was also supposed to retire this year. I honestly can't imagine how that must feel and today is another reminder to me to count my blessings and not to think "poor me" over trivial stuff. I am sending prayers out to those families affected by this horrific fire and hoping I can try to help in other ways as well. If you are in a position to help you can go to The American Red Cross.
And if not, send prayers or positive thoughts & PLEASE COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS!
Lord, may all the fires be controlled;
May the winds subside.
May no more homes be destroyed
And may smoke leave our skies.

Dang! That is so sad. My heart and prayers go out to her and her family and the others affected. Girl, my cousin was devastated by a fire awhile back! So I know how devastating that can be!
